About the Bruins: George Fox (12-5, 6-0 NWC) heads to Tacoma in first place in the NWC standings and two wins shy of notching its second straight perfect season in conference play.
The Bruins dropped four straight matches in California in late March, including three at the hands of nationally-ranked opponents (#6 Johns Hopkins University 5-4, #22 California Institute of Technology 5-4, #3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges 7-2) but has regained its form since returning to Oregon, netting 9-0 wins over Lewis & Clark College and Linfield University before dispatching 35th-ranked University of California Santa Cruz 8-1 last Friday.
Will Leach is the Bruins' top player, playing at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles positions this spring. Leach's doubles partner is Luke Lemaitre who has played No. 2 singles almost the entire year.
