Day 1: Cape Town

Day 2-4: Cape Town

  • Private Full Day City Tour and Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch: Discover cosmopolitan Cape Town with your own vehicle and guide which gives you flexibility to explore at your own pace. Highlights of the tour include the Castle of Good Hope, Green Market Square, Kirstenbosch Garden, Company Gardens and of course – weather permitting – a visit to the top of Table Mountain which offers breathtaking views of Cape Town and the surrounding coastline
  • Private Cape Point Tour:Enjoy your drive along this scenic stretch of road, passing by white sandy beaches and the ocean by Clifton and Camps Bay. Take in the bracing sea breeze as the wind catches your hair. Watch the sudden appearance of the Twelve Apostles Peaks to one side of the road, while the dramatic cliffs and rocky outcrops of the Cape Peninsula rise above the Atlantic on your other side. Make a pit stop at the pretty little fishing village of Hout Bay with its famous Sentinel. If you wish, you can take a boat ride to Seal Island, or browse through colorful stalls by the harbor piled high with handicrafts and local artifacts. Drive up to the Cape’s famed Chapman’s Peak and make the most of its photo opportunities. Continue up to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve before dropping by the spectacular Cape Point. Look out for the feathery ‘fynbos’ swaying in the heathland along with the region’s endemic birds and wildlife, particularly the Cape Mountain Zebra and the baboons. Gaze out at False Bay, or if you wish, you can ride the funicular to the old lighthouse for taking in the twin oceans of the South Atlantic and the Indian Ocean. Take a refreshing lunch break (optional), before visiting the colony of African penguins at Boulders Beach. Go over to the old naval base of Simon’s Town, and end your eventful day at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens just as the sun sets over the iconic Table Mountain

Day 4: Winelands

The Winelands are one of the prettiest areas of South Africa and producing some of the best wines in the world, which you can sample during your vineyard visits.

Day 5: Explore the Winelands

This tour ushers you to the charms of leisurely country life with the elegance of classic wine producing locations. Day 6: Little Karoo

Experience spectacular landscapes! The Little Karoo plateau is incredibly varied, with its huge cliffs, desert landscapes, crystal clear rivers and fertile wine-growing regions.

Day 7-10: Garden Route

  • John Benn Sunset Cruise on Knysna Lagoon: Beginning from the Featherbed Nature Reserve ferry terminus of Knysna Waterfront Quays, embark on John Benn. Now housing a full enclosed double-decker floating restaurant, admire the iconic and well-preserved, classic-style floating vessel crafted using yellowwood from the surrounding forests. Enjoy the natural beauty of lush hillsides and waterfront settlements as your guide regales stories of the legendary pilot John Benn. You will also learn about the region’s flora, fauna, and natural history, while passing by certain landmark spots including Island Rock and Otter Cove among others, along the coast. Cruising the tranquil lagoon around Knysna Heads under a sunset glow, savor a delicious tapas menu featuring fresh Knysna oysters complemented by local beers, fresh fruit juices, and South Africa’s sparkling wines.   • Explore Garden Route on your own: Set off at a convenient time to explore the splendid attractions of the famous Garden Route region at your own pace. You could start with a visit to Tsitsikamma National Park with its indigenous flora and fauna, and the Storms River flowing past. Take your pick of activities such as mountain biking, hiking down scenic trails, and bungee jumping. Head to Storms River village for lunch at the charming Marilyn’s 60s Diner where you can savor all-American cuisine as you soak in the retro ambiance. Afterward, enjoy the afternoon soaking in the sun as you lounge on the sand at one of two beautiful beaches by the crystal blue water in Plettenberg Bay. Alternatively, you could spend the day at the oceanside town of Knysna, picnicking by the water and enjoying a unique tour of its township. Follow it up with a trip to Knysna Elephant Park before heading back to your hotel with memories of a lifetime. (Full Day; For guests on self drive: No transfers included. Day 10-13: Eastern Game Parks

The Eastern Cape game reserves and national parks comprise an outstanding selection of private concessions and award-winning private game reserves and lodges too. These include the Mountain Zebra National Park, Camdeboo National Park, Shamwari Game Reserve, and the Amakhala Game Reserve.Find the Big Five! The Eastern Cape Game Parks around Port Elizabeth are malaria-free safari destinations and are therefore ideal for families.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Tuviro Travels Safaris and you, our client. Tuviro Travels Safaris presumes that you are of sufficient legal age to use the website and create binding legal obligations. These are the sole terms and conditions that will apply and by signing up for a Tuviro Travels Safaris trip, or any other service therein you accept to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Payment Terms: 'The booking' refers to part or all of the travel arrangements for transportation, accommodation, flights, sightseeing excursions, meals, entertainment and other linked services made on behalf of the client, some of which may be subcontracted from other independent suppliers. A binding contract between you, the client and Tuviro Travels Safaris comes into existence when we receive your booking request and a deposit payment for the booking.

Payment upon confirming services: A deposit of 30% of the total booking value is required in order to confirm part or all of the booking. Certain suppliers impose more stringent payment policies. Should your program include services of such suppliers, Tuviro Travels Safaris will advise you at the time of booking if your booking will require some additional deposit payments. The balance is payable 60 days before the date of the first service by Tuviro Travels Safaris. Should the client fail to remit payments in line with these set time frames, Tuviro Travels Safaris reserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled and thereby apply any resultant penalties.

Cancellations by Client: Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus the $350 per person administrative fee. 60-89 days will be subject to loss of deposit (30% trip price). 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.

Insurance: All guests are strongly advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance covering them for luggage, personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses, cancellation and curtailment of travel arrangements because bookings will be subject to cancellation penalties as detailed above.

Cancellations or Changes by Tuviro Travels Safaris: Tuviro Travels Safaris reserves the right to discontinue and summarily cancel any booking in respect of which payment has fallen in arrears. In the event of this right being exercised, relevant cancellation penalties will be payable by the client or deducted from any deposit payments already made.

Note: Tuviro Travels Safaris is committed to maintaining a close and mutually beneficial relationship with all its clients. We realize that the satisfaction of our clients is our greatest asset. Our morals therefore are guided by a high level of professionalism, honesty and Integrity. From the time you send us your first enquiry, you will be served by a dedicated consultant till the time you return home. Your travel arrangements will be reviewed every so often in order to eliminate chances of errors and omissions. In the unlikely event that Tuviro Travels Safaris has to cancel, amend or curtail your travel arrangements due to our negligence, our failure to exercise care in making the arrangements for you and /or breach of our contractual agreement, we will take liability.

3rd Party Suppliers: Tuviro Travels Safaris acts as a booking agent for hotels, airlines, ground transporters, boat operators, hot air balloon companies and other independent contractors providing accommodations, transportation, and other services that Tuviro Travels Safaris subcontracts on behalf of its clients. Each of these companies is an independent company and is not subject to the control of Tuviro Travels Safaris. Tuviro Travels Safaris therefore will not be liable for any personal injury, property damage or loss which may occur as a result of using such subcontracted services however, Tuviro Travels Safaris will always endeavour to contract services of companies which in our discretion, deliver the contracted services in the appropriate quality while adhering to the laws of the land. In the event that any supplier is unable to provide contracted services for whatever reason, Tuviro Travels Safaris will endeavor to offer you alternative arrangements of similar classification whenever possible. Should you not be willing to take the alternative arrangements offered by Tuviro Travels Safaris, any refunds to which you may be entitled will be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant supplier. You may not delegate convey or assign your rights duties and obligations entered with Tuviro Travels Safaris.

Force Majeure: "Force Majeure" means any circumstances where the execution of contractual services is prevented or affected by factors beyond the reasonable control of Tuviro Travels Safaris including, but not limited to acts of God, war and threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural disasters such as weather conditions, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, fire, governmental actions and other unexpected occurrences. In these circumstances, we shall not be liable to pay any compensation or otherwise be responsible for any expenses or losses the client may incur where we are forced as a result to cancel, delay, curtail or change the clients’ arrangements in any way or where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected. Tuviro Travels Safaris also reserves the right to accept or decline any traveler on any trip, before or during the trip should such person's mental or physical condition impede the operation of the service or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other travelers. In this case a refund of the unused land services is the limit of Tuviro Travels Safaris liability to the traveler removed. We also reserve the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour or relocate accommodation if schedules, security matters and/or events beyond our control make such explained above.

Travel Documents: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their passport, visa, health certificates, inoculations, or other documentation required for the trip are obtained, valid and that are all in order. Should Tuviro Travels Safaris incur any costs as a result of failure by the client to fulfill this responsibility, such costs shall be recovered from the client. Malaria is endemic in some parts of Africa and precautions must be taken. It is recommended you visit your primary physician or local travel clinic to review any medications or recommended inoculations. Be sure to carry your inoculation certificate with you as proof of inoculations. If you are concerned about taking any medications, check with your physician before you book your trip.

Special Requests & Important Information: The client must either directly or through their travel agent, advice Tuviro Travels Safaris in writing of any special requests or important information about themselves such as diet, physical disability and any need for special treatment or handling at the time of booking.
