Boys hockey defeats Northview By grace montgomery

WHAT HAPPENED:

The boys hockey team took on Northview at home on Wednesday, Feb. 10. The Bucs won 8-0 in a game that ended six minutes early due to the mercy rule. They scored one goal in the first period, five in the second and two in the third.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN:

The win improves their record to 2-0 in the Fischer division of the Ottawa-Kent (O-K) Conference.

KEY PLAYERS:

  • Senior Braden Nielsen led the team offensively with three goals.
  • Junior Tristen Goss had a large offensive presence with two goals and one assist.
  • Junior Aiden Steele saved all 11 shots on goal resulting in a shutout.

THEY SAID IT:

"We came out ready to play because we were excited to get on the ice again," Goss said. "We knew what we had to do to win."

WHAT’S NEXT:

The Bucs play Forest Hills Northern Eastern at home on Saturday, Feb 13.
