Start of Spring Term

Dear Deerfield Families:

No fooling, Spring Term is off to a strong start! Many teams had their first games or scrimmages of the season on Wednesday, and today is the second of three "Spring Visit Days," when we welcome newly-admitted students and their families to campus. It's an all hands on deck situation, as student hosts bring their guests to classes, sit-down lunch, and co-curriculars in the afternoon. Dr. Austin and the Admission Office team take the opportunity to meet with parents, who also enjoy tours and panels and a special luncheon. Thank you to all our First Link current parent volunteers who will soon connect with those families who say YES to Deerfield!

Annual Enrollment

Annual Enrollment launches on April 18. Watch for more updates starting next week.

Now Live: the '22 - '23 Course Catalog

The 2022 - 2023 course catalog is now live and available online. Students will work with their advisors over the next few weeks to plan their course requests for next year. Rising tenth-graders and juniors will complete their requests by April 20, and rising seniors will complete their requests by May 2. If parents or guardians have questions about course requests or course planning, please contact your child’s advisor, college advisor, or the Academic Affairs Office.

Spring Family Weekend

April 22 - 23, 2022

Please join us for next month's "Spring Family Weekend," April 22 - 23. Registration is open, and we have a great weekend planned for you! (Schedule of events below.)

Please note that Monday, April 25, is a regular class day. If you would like to take your child off campus during the weekend, please complete the overnight permission form, which you can also find on the schedule of events page. If you have not yet booked a room(s), the local lodging list is also available on the Spring Family Weekend page.

Visiting Campus? Visit the Parent Lounge!

If you're visiting campus over Spring Family Weekend, take a moment and stop by the Parent Lounge in Ephraim Williams (pictured here). The lounge has coffee to-go (or stay!), accessible restrooms, a hydration station to refill your water bottle, access to a computer, the local newspaper, and a place to recharge your phones.

The Parent Lounge is a quiet respite for parents in an otherwise busy weekend (the Lounge will be open Friday and Saturday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm). Coffee is available all day, and in the afternoon, you can nibble on some cookies.

Senior Parents: Commencement Will be Here Before You Know It!

Please remember that only one person per household needs to register for Commencement 2022 (you will be able to add your guests). View the Commencement schedule and register below. Please note, the current schedule is tentative, and we will continually update it online. For questions or concerns, please reach out to Tessa Doubleday.

Plan Ahead

End-of-Term Move Out and Storage Solutions

Although the Spring Term has just begun, we’re already planning for the end of school and, more specifically, students moving out of their dorm rooms. Again this year, Boomerang OR Sitterly Movers will pick up and store returning students’ belongings for the summer. Below, please find more information/instructions to enroll in one of these services.
