Project Description:
Hancock Health Gateway Park South is a 66-acre business park targeting healthcare and lifestyle enhancement. The signature centerpiece building at the entry to the development is Hancock Wellness Center, an integrated wellness/medical building developed and owned by Hancock Regional Hospital.
The building celebrates full-body care — from physical fitness to diagnostics, to mental and physical healthcare — through a full-service wellness facility. It features a significant mix of common-area attractions such as a community gathering space, a conference facility capable of hosting 250 people, a café and a resource center. The member wellness components include a full-size gymnasium with full-height north-facing glass, featuring great overlook from the fitness and running track. The fitness floors are spread over two floors to include cardio equipment, machine weights, free weights and a functional fitness activity floor with a full CrossFit studio, synthetic turf and a monkey rig.
The aquatics center has three pools: a recreation/learn-to-swim pool, a lap pool and a dedicated therapy pool. Adjacent to the pool is a co-ed steam room, sauna and spa, served by generous state-of-the-art locker rooms and family/assisted changing rooms, as well as a kids’ area with both indoor and outdoor play directly connected to the gymnasium. The medical office components include physician offices, family practice, physical therapy, radiology, laboratory components, and a diverse and growing selection of clinical service providers.
Combining health and wellness programs into a single building has resulted in a unique patient experience that integrates whole-body wellness — from fitness excellence to wellness checks, testing and beyond.
