5 ways to wellbeing for next half term is Keep learning
We talked last time about connecting.
What better way than to join a group where you can keep learning and meet new people.
We have included some information about how you can access adult courses locally
We have also put some useful tips on how you can help your children with reading
Adult learning courses in Brynmawr Learning Action Centre
Improve your English course - Tuesday and Thursday 6-8pm and Friday 10.30-12.30
Improve your maths course - Tuesday 10-12
Digital skills course - this is on a Wednesday (spaces are limited because of COVID)
English for speakers of a different language - if you are interested in this course please enquire and if there is enough demand they will run a course in Brynmawr

Supporting your child with reading
Did you know when reading to your child for 20 minutes a day you will read 1,800,000 words per year?
Did you know If children read 1 book a day, by the time they reach their 5th birthday they will have read 1825 books?
It is never too early, or too late, to start reading with children
Booktrust have lots of tips on how you can read with your child
Our feature club for this half term is
Valleys Gymnastics operate across 5 different local authorities across South Wales including Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Torfaen, and Rhondda Cynon Taf
Sessions include
Artistic Gymnastics (Men’s & Women’s); Freestyle Gymnastics (Free Running); Team Gym General Gymnastics for all ages Pre -school gymnastics ages 18 months plus; Adult Gymnastics; Inclusive Gymnastics; Drop in Free play sessions; School holiday camps; Fit & Fed sessions; Us Girls Sessions
