OPAL
OPAL update: we now have tyres filled with sand and gravel for the children to play in and a larger sand-pit is now in place on KS2 playground. In addition we have cable reels, buckets and crates. KS1 also now have a mud kitchen and all of the trees have yellow marks for safe climbing. If anyone has any suitcases they’d like to donate, we’d be very grateful as the children absolutely love playing with and in them!
Real Leader Training
Well done to all our Y6 children who completed their Real Leader course this week with Mrs Porter and Mrs Pierce from the Chippenham Sports Partnership.
Following a morning session looking at the skills needed to be good leader, they then planned and lead a multiskills festival for some of our KS1 children.
As you can see from the pictures, everyone had a fantastic time. Mrs Pierce commented on how brilliantly Y6 supported and encouraged the younger children and said they had been a pleasure to work with. Well done to everyone involved.
