Ihab Ikbal, better known as 7liwa (pronounced Ha-Lee-Wa) began his musical career in 2011, releasing three albums and numerous singles over the past decade.
7liwa rose to prominence in 2013 with the music video Da7k T9ada followed by the single Batal L3alam, a 10 minute opus with no chorus.
Throughout the years he has collaborated with influential Middle Eastern artists including Lartiste, LBenj, Shayfeen and numerous more. In 2014, 7liwa released the mixtape Ktabi Baki and co-directed a short film called Au Hazard.
By 2017 7liwa had his hit stride with the single Mimi, racking up more than 20 million streams. He continues to to maintain an active presence in the MENA region, with nearly 250 million combined streams, as one of the region's leading voices in hip hop.
