LAER THE GODDESS Artist / ENTREPRENEUR

Nicole Elizabeth Read (born November 26, 1991) also known by the stage name Laer The Goddess is a singer, rapper, songwriter, and former pro athlete. She was born in Akron, Ohio and was raised in Oakland County, Michigan where she started excelling in soccer at age six. She had a decorated soccer career up until 2014 when she retired and became a full-time coach. She began her musical career in 2016, relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2018 she became an artist under the Block Boy Media (B.B.M.)

Since then, she has been working on her first studio album I AM GOLD. In between that time, she has dropped many projects on various platforms. In 2022, she dropped the single Thumb Green. Her past work includes the collaboration album Son Day by B.B.M. (The Label). She wrote and performed on the tracks Sacrifice, and We Will, both surpassing 40,000+ streams.

When she is not recording, she is also teaching and sharing worldly knowledge through her YouTube series, Tools Of The Youniverse.

Career (Soccer)

Youth Michigan ODP team 04-09, Region II team 05-09 including travel overseas to play against European programs, National ID Camps (5), U15 National Team Camp, U18 National Team Camp, Adidas ESP Camp 08), 6 Michigan State Cup Titles with Vardar including two MVPS, 2 Region II Cup Titles with Vardar, 3 time all area, all region, and first team all state,

2009: Big Ten Freshman of the Week (9/7) ... Totaled eight points on three goals and two assists ... Recorded her first collegiate goal against Illinois State in first collegiate game and victory.

2010: Totaled starts in all 19 Illini contests.Tied for a team-high six assists with Marissa Mykines. Totaled 10 points on the season. Scoring game-winners against #17 Ohio State and Northwestern, assisting Shayla Mutz on the game-winning goal in overtime against Iowa... Earned first collegiate multi-assist game against Ball State, assisting Vanessa DiBernardo on the game-winner as well as Jordan Hilbrands on Illinois' final goal of the 3-0 match.

2011: Chicagoland Soccer News Player of the Week (8/29) ... College Soccer 360 Primetime Player (11/15) ... Illini/Boilermaker Challenge All-Tournament Team ... Started every contest seeing a total of 2,001 minutes of playing time. Tallied her first goal and assist of the season against Gonzaga ... Set career-highs in points (7) and goals (3) with three tallies and an assist against Ball State ... Also assisted on a goal each vs. Colorado, Oregon, Indiana, Minnesota and Northwestern ... Played in her 50th collegiate game against Purdue ... Leads the Illini in assists (7) ... Earned the game-winner in the NCAA Tournament First Round contest vs. defending National Champion Notre Dame. The Illini marched on to the sweet sixteen after finishing Big 10 tournament champions.

2012: Started in all contest for the Illini, she scored 3 goals and had 1 assist on the season. The Illini made it to the elite 8 where she scored in her final game against #1 ranked University of North Carolina.
