Your daily wellbeing

We know that this maybe obvious to some but it is important that you develop healthy habits to support your wellbeing when working at home. Try to do the following each day:

  1. All though it is very tempting to stay in your PJ's and take part in your lessons from your bed, this is not good for positive wellbeing. Everyday, get up and get dressed so that you are able to tackle the day ahead.
  2. Work in an organised and clear space. A desk or a table is much better than a sofa or a bed.
  3. Have all your books ready in advance ready for the lessons that will take place during the day.
  4. During break and lunch make sure that you have a change of scenery. Leave your bedroom, go downstairs, have some fresh air.
  5. Try to go for a walk everyday. Freshair and exercise really helps.
  6. Make sure you have a healthy diet to give you the energy you need for the day.
  7. Try to make contact with friends and family on a daily basis where possible, (following COVID rules) send a message / make a phone call / interact with people in your house.
  8. Remember to check your school emails

Action calendars

Things have certainly not been easy over the last year, and we are still in difficult and uncertain times. The best way to try to handle our difficult emotions and experiences is by focusing on what we can control. This month, we're encouraging everyone to focus on small steps to try to boost happiness - for ourselves and others around us - to spread kindness and hopefully inspire others to do the same.

Music is powerful.

Below is a link to YouTube to a playlist of 47 songs about overcoming obstacles, adversity, hard time and challenges but not giving up.
