Create a theater script: Have you heard of symbolic play ? It allows children to be other characters and, therefore, to feel like other people for a few moments. The benefits are so many for the development of the child that we cannot stop encouraging you to practice it at home and to do it through a play that you can invent yourselves and then perform.

Make an excursion: Leaving the city will be for you like spending a whole day in a spa. It reduces stress, favors a healthy lifestyle, oxygenates the brain, generates more happiness and allows you to teach children the need to take care of the environment and the importance it represents for our future.

Home cinema session: We always talk about the teachings that stories do not propose, but we must not forget the wise lessons that some movies or short films offer us . Shall we prepare some microwave popcorn and get comfortable on the sofa? Watch the movie in another language.

Crafts with egg boxes: And since you have used the eggs to decorate them, why don't you take advantage of the cardboard box in which they usually come wrapped, that is, the egg cups , to make a worm, a fish or a turtle? Practice some of that vocabulary in a second language.

Crear un guión de teatro: ¿Has oído hablar del juego simbólico? Permite a los niños ser otros personajes y, por lo tanto, sentirse otras personas por unos momentos. Los beneficios son tantos para el desarrollo del niño que no podemos dejar de animarte a que lo practiquéis en casa y a que lo hagáis a través de alguna obra de teatro que os podéis inventar vosotros para luego representar.

Manualidades con cajas de huevos: Y ya que has utilizado los huevos para decorarlos, ¿por qué no aprovechas la caja de cartón en la que suelen venir envueltos, es decir las hueveras, para hacer un gusano, un pez o una tortuga?

Building Language Through Play

When learning a second language make it fun by playing games in the other language. Below are some games to play in the language that your child is learning.

1. Cookies with a message: What if you cook some delicious letter-shaped cookies together? There are molds of letters with which you can later form fun words.
2. Letters with the hands: We can play with the hands and the body to form letters. Two or more players can participate. Ask your child to make a letter with the body. Then it will be your turn. If several children participate, they can play to create words with their bodies and hands.
3. The syllable counter: For children to become familiar with syllables, nothing better than playing syllable counter. How? With claps! Break each word into syllables and clap your hands for each syllable. So if you say 'ma-ri-po-sa' out loud, you have to clap your hands four times.
4. The 'hangman' game: Think of a word. The child will have to guess what is the word you thought of. To do this, he draws a 'hangman' stick and below, a line for each letter of the word. The child must say a letter and if your word carries it, place it in the right place. Every time it fails, you draw a part of the 'hangman'.
5. The word collector: Several children can participate in this game at the same time. They need a sheet of paper, a pen, and a stopwatch. You will say a letter. When you say 'time', the stopwatch starts running. The children should write all the words they remember that start with the letter you said. The child who writes down the most letters in one minute wins.

Crear lenguaje a través del juego

Cuando aprenda un segundo idioma lo hace divertido jugar juegos en el otro idioma. Aquí se presentan algunos juegos para jugar en el idioma que su hijo/a está aprendiendo.

1. Galletas con mensaje: ¿Y si cocináis juntos unas deliciosas galletas con forma de letras? Existen moldes de letras con las que luego podréis formar divertidas palabras.
2. Letras con las manos: Podemos jugar con las manos y con el cuerpo a formar letras. Pueden participar dos o más jugadores. Pide a tu hijo que haga una letra con el cuerpo. Luego será tu turno. Si participan varios niños, pueden jugar a crear palabras con el cuerpo y las manos.
3. El contador de sílabas: Para que los niños se familiaricen con las sílabas, nada mejor que jugar al contador de sílabas. ¿Cómo? ¡Con palmadas! Descompón cada palabra en sílabas y por cada sílaba da una palmada. Así, si dices en voz alta 'ma-ri-po-sa', tendrás que dar cuatro palmadas.
4. El juego del 'ahorcado': Piensa en una palabra. El niño tendrá que adivinar cuál es la palabra en la que pensaste. Para ello, dibuja un palo de 'ahorcado' y abajo, una rayita por cada letra de la palabra. El niño debe decir una letra y si la lleva tu palabra, colocarla en el lugar adecuado. Cada vez que falle, dibujas una parte del 'ahorcado'.
