Seattle, WA a babysitting adventure

We went to Seattle to babysit through a wedding and ended up having a most wonderful vacation where I discovered an almost irrational wonder of flora.

Bellevue Botanical Garden + Carl S. English Jr. Botanical Garden

I mean, flowers can get me into small frenzies, but the flora in Seattle astounded me. There were orchids growing on sidewalks ... giant sunflowers ... it was unexpected and diverse.

I doubt I will return, but if I do: it will be to explore all things that grow.

We spent half a day walking + eating (when did we not?) through the city, then settled down for a picnic under the shade of trees at the Gas Works Park
