no matter how hard i try, theres always a bunch of shit on my desk.
i've been keeping it under control in a cardboard box. it's the box my seattle kraken trucker hat came in.
it's super plain and flimsy though. fortunately, we ordered pizza tonight from sizzle pie (west coast chain, super good, if you know, you know) and sizzle pie has really cool art on their pizza boxes. 70s-looking. so i decided to improve my box with more box.
get all the tape off the old box.
i cut a flap to fill the void between the flaps at the bottom of the box. the QR code, btw, goes here:
i didnt take the quiz. looks interesting though, let me know if you take it.
now! wood glue the flaps and spacer down in the bottom of the box and use a snow boot to hold it down while the glue sets up.
after that sets up a little, cut the pizza box and make a wrap-around cladding and hot glue it down then hit it with the document clamps until the hot glue hardens.
i got another cladding section, wrapped the other side, same process; hot glue, clamps and i had to trim off the excess cardboard so the other side of the box now says "eat pizz."
then i cut out the art from the center of the pizza box and installed it in the bottom of the box and more hot glue. now i have a double thick cardboard box with reinforced corners and bottom.
i put all the shit in it. improved cardboard box now holds hand sanitizer. $0.35 american cents in coin, a tv remote, two printer ink cartridges, three lens cleaning cloths, a small stack of notes and drawings on 3x5 white notecards, five bottles of nicotine lozenges, two bills, my iphone belt clip, two red beanies, two orange beanies, one seattle kraken beanie and my hip bag complete with pink I❤️NY pig.
life improved incrementally, and i now have a constant reminder to eat pizza every day, as sizzle pie commands.
