‘Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away’ (Anon).
The appearance of falling snowflakes in the forest was one such moment for us.
Back in school we've been playing together, practising the new skills we learn in our teacher-led sessions.
Outside, Mr Walker and Miss Watson have been setting physical challenges to complete. Our balance, strength and co-ordination is improving.
Our resident frog, Fred, helps us with pre-reading skills. He's been playing alongside the children but he only speaks in sounds which means we have to listen carefully. "Please pass the r-e-d paint" helps us to practise our blending.
One of the many fun play opportunities this week has been a fine-motor skill challenge to thread the cheerios on to the spaghetti. It's more tricky than it sounds, especially resisting the temptation to eat them.
Thank you to all the parents for coming to their parents meetings this week. It's always lovely celebrating the achievements of the children together. Also, well done to everyone who took part in this week's comic relief talent show!
