Staff updates
Huge congratulations to Mrs Lazenby (Rabbits class) who is expecting her first baby in July.
We would also like to let you know that Mrs Douglas, our deputy head, will be taking early retirement at the end of this academic year. We will be really sad to see Mrs Douglas leave but I am sure you will join me in wishing her the very best.
Covid-19
As you may be aware guidelines for Covid-19 have changed this week. In particular we would like to draw your attention to the procedure if a household member tests positive.
If you are aged 5 years and over and live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, and are not legally required to self-isolate, you are strongly advised to:
take an LFD test every day for 7 days
We would particularly appreciate this as there is now a member of staff in school who is pregnant.
We will no longer ask you to take your child for a PCR test if they do not have any symptoms.
Library
After months of hard work, we are delighted that our new library is now open. We would like to thank Borough Lands for the generous donation of £3,350 towards the £7,000 worth of new books. The children will be using the library during class time. As with all libraries they will be able to borrow books to take home to read. They will need to remember to bring the books back to school before they can borrow the next one.
Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL)
The children have been having great fun during their playtimes. We are looking to add to our collection of play equipment. We need wheeled suitcases, and kitchen utensils for our 'Mud Kitchen'. If you have any that you could donate, please bring them to the school office. Thank you
