The integration of the manufactured in nature is the main inspiration for this project. Interestingly sharing my images with my collaboration partner, I learned that encountering the manufactured and nature is her point of interest. This integration process can happen in a blink of an eye, or it can grow in a slow process. My intention in this project was to capture the integration resulting from the slow process. The material used for this project is the copper sheet and copper wire, and green lentil.

このプロジェクトの主なインスピレーションは、自然の中での製造物の統合です。コラボレーションパートナーとイメージを共有する中で、製造物と自然との出会いが彼女の興味の対象であることを知りました。この統合のプロセスは、瞬く間に起こることもあれば、ゆっくりとしたプロセスで起こっていくこともあります。このプロジェクトで私が意図したのは、ゆっくりとしたプロセスで生じる統合を捉えることでした。このプロジェクトで使用した素材は、銅板と銅線、そしてグリーンレンティルです。

The mixture of flour, water, and turmeric created a slimy and sticky texture that I felt uncomfortable touching. The glutinous mixture was very difficult to remove. The physical behaviour of my touch material reminded me of undesired layers of memories in life that I wish to eradicate. My hand gestures craving to remove and overcome some of those and embed them back again since they are a great part of my life. I believe we write the story of our lives and navigate it in our subconscious.

小麦粉、水、ターメリックを混ぜると、触ると不快感を覚えるヌルヌルとした粘着性のあるテクスチャーになりました。このもちもちした混合物を取るのは非常に困難です。素材に触った私の身体的な行為は、人生の中で消し去りたいと思っている、望ましくない記憶の層を思い出させました。私の手のジェスチャーは、それらのある部分を取り除き、克服したい、でもそれらは私の人生の大きな部分を占めてもいるので、再び埋め込みたいとも思っているのです。私たちは、自分の人生の物語を書き、それを潜在意識の中でナビ ゲートしているのだと思います。

The ripped canvases are presenting layers of pieces of information and narratives. Each ripped canvas is related and connected to other canvases suggesting the connection between everything and nature in the universe. The series of turned canvases recall the layers of trees and branches in the forest. The image is a photo I captured in nature. The organic and pale colours are the light from the photo projection. Detached treads and torn canvases are the expressions of removal. While weaving and shredding up our emotional attachments in life, they can still stay with us forever. Nature is a witness to narratives, and it embeds them within layers of passing the time.

引き裂かれたキャンバスは、情報や物語の断片の層を提示しています。裂かれたキャンバスはそれぞれ他のキャンバスと関連し、つながっており、宇宙におけるすべてのものや自然のつながりを示唆しています。回転したキャンバスのシリーズは、森の中の木と枝の層を思い起こさせます。イメージは、自然の中で撮影した写真です。有機的で淡い色は、写真の投影による光です。切り離された踏み板や引き裂かれたキャンバスは、除去の表現です。人生の中の感情的な執着というのは、織りこまれたり、ズタズタにされたりしながらも、永遠に私たちのそばにあり続けるのです。自然は物語の目撃者であり、時間の経過の層の中に物語を埋め込んでいくのです。
