The Baker Blast October 2, 2022

Above: On Wednesday, September 28th, we held our first Baker Family Outdoor Movie Night. It was great seeing our students and families come to enjoy a movie under the night sky. During the movie, we had a passing drizzle, but it didn't stop the show. We bundled in our blankets and still had a Blast.

A special thank you goes out to the front office staff for their efforts in helping setup the projector, screen and registration. We also want to thank the volunteers and PTO members for providing amazing refreshments. If you were unable to come out for this event, we hope that you can join us for the indoor movie scheduled in the winter.

Save the Date: Fall Parent Teacher Conferences

The Conference Manager will open Wednesday, October 12th at 6 am and close Tuesday, October 18th at 3 pm.

The Fall Parent Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching and Baker is once again using an online Conference Manager scheduling tool for Parent Teacher Conferences. This software, will allow you to pick and choose your own schedule for conferences, which can make for a more efficient and personalized experience for parents. Click on the link below to visit the Conference Manager website.

We will have 3 sessions that will be a combination of in-person and the option for virtual split between the 2 days (3 Sessions). The in-person conferences are on Wednesday, October 19th (Evening). The virtual conferences are on Thursday, October 20th (Afternoon & Evening).

A few tips:

  • Keep “travel” time in mind and please do not schedule back to back conferences as it will take time to travel from room to room. Please allow 5 minutes between time slots.
  • Please only schedule one conference per teacher/class (unless you have more than one child per teacher). 6th grade parents may schedule two back-to-back sessions with their ELA teacher since it is a 2-hour block.
  • You can add comments/questions when scheduling your time for teacher reference to help guide the conference.
  • Need help with directions? You can always call the office and we will help get you scheduled.

Half-Day Transportation Reminder: Thursday, October 20th is a half-day. Shuttles will run on Full Days only. Students taking courses at the high school and elementary students taking math courses at Baker will not have a shuttle on Half-Days.

These funds go directly into the classroom, impacting all Baker students. If you have not registered yet with Kroger or Amazon, simply click on the links below to find out how. Please consider asking your family and friends to sign up for this FREE benefit for our Bobcats. Thank you for support of the Baker PTO.
