Hoop Nebula 76 is an NFT Art/Photo collection that celebrates the interconnectedness of basketball, art and community.

SpaceCraft was invited as 1 of 14 curated creatives in the Art/photo/NFT community to throw down on this IRL Physical 1/1 Basketball Mini Hoop Art Project, the 1st ever “Hoops Creator Challenge” created & hosted by Round21 and The first Mint, which also featured art/photo/nft heavyweights: Shakka Blood, JN Silva & other top shots!

My son Zeek got inspired to trace the stencils into a collage & spray painted his 1st trucker hat collection!

Heavily inspired by the sun, the kids in the local Bronx playground, the B-Ballers, photography & the Hoop Creator Challange, SpazeCraft shares an intimate microscopic look into this galactic reinterpretation of the basketball hoop & the universes that are birthed within it.

This collection of NFT’s was created live outdoors on 2/12/2022 in the Bronx in the Morris Ave. playground. SpaceCraft’s 9yr old son assisted and worked on his first ever custom hat collection, while local kids checked the vibes. “After Zeek went home, I got to chat with my brother Kanon Kane on NFT‘s, Art, photography, the blockchain and community building, after we built, he went to the court to ball and invited me to shoot their game”.

All of the silhouettes in the NFT collection and the original 1/1 physical mini hoop are of real ballers captured in the photos SpazeCraft took that same day & reinterpreted/remixed into the Hoops Creator Challenge Project.

SpazeCraft’s trademark alien glyphs provide the frenetic energy that propels the eye through these otherworldly NFT compositions.

In the spirit of abstract graffiti pioneers Futura 2000 & Thee Equasion, Rammellzee, the collection is produced entirely from paint markers & spray paint. This abstract microcosm is created through the interaction of pigment & transparent spray paint on plexiglass, with the luminescence intensified by direct sunlight piercing through the colors, textures & forms, creating a kaleidoscope of illuminated interstellar space.
