PLEASE USE THE CROSSING

Please can we once again remind you to use the supervised pedestrian crossing to cross Western Road. It is an extremely busy road at school drop off and leaving times and we are still receiving reports of people taking risks to get across. The crossing is the safest way to cross and we are lucky to have it supervised by a School Crossing Patrol, so please make use of it.

VOLUNTEERING COURSE

For a limited time only East Riding Adult Learning and Employability are currently offering a level 1 Award in Volunteering course in Goole with all fees waived.

This course is a great opportunity for any volunteers to formalise their knowledge and skills or to gain a recognised qualification to add to their CV. It’s also ideal for anyone that would like to start volunteering, but want to know more about what their role is likely to involve.

Volunteering provides a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience, to build confidence, to reduce isolation and above all its a really great way to make new friends and become part of a community. Not only does volunteering make a real difference to people and communities, for the volunteer it can also have a positive effect on mental health. Regardless of the reasons for volunteering though, it is rewarding, fun and enjoyable.

The Level 1 Award in Volunteering course starts on the 8th of June at 1pm and runs for 8 weeks at our Goole Adult Learning and Employability Centre. You can find out more and sign up on the Adult Learning and Employability website.
