Founded in 1988, Sam Patti’s original business plan was to sell and service commercial espresso machines from his showroom in the city’s historic market and restaurant district known as The Strip. Soon the showroom evolved into a full-service espresso bar, where it has become a must-stop Pittsburgh destination. La Prima coffee is hand-roast in small batches to bring out the distinctive flavors of every bean. They are a certified organic roaster by Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO) and continue to offer many fair-trade coffees through committed relationships with growers and producers. They stay close to the roast and put their knowledge and expertise to work to produce the best cup of coffee possible. La Prima Coffee is available at the following locations: Cafe 1923 and Morning Grounds

Square One Coffee is a family owned, award-winning micro-roaster based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. With 15 years of experience in the coffee world, they believe that people matter, so they do their best to respect every person involved in the process of getting coffee from the seed to your cup—from the farmers, to the importers, to the roasters, to their baristas, and of course the customers. They pay premium prices for coffee (well above fair trade) and build long term relationships as much as possible. Enjoy Square One Coffee at the following locations: Campus Coffee & Tea Co at Towers, Bunsen Brewer, and RxPresso.

They promise to source responsibly and hold our partners accountable as well. They are committed to reinvesting in our community and help Pittsburgh continue to develop as a truly amazing place to live.
