Winnie the Pooh KIDS Meriden Youth Theater - RISING STARS

The Cast of Pooh

A throwback to the other times MYT performed Winnie the Pooh in 2012 and 2016! Even though its been several years, you might recognize some familiar faces. Louis Apuzzo, Priscilla Baldwin, Lilly Bazinet, Peighton O'Hara, Julia Skrzyniarz, Stefanie Szawerda, and Jack Beitman were all cast members in our previous productions and are now CITs, interns, or staff! While our first session is dedicated to our youngest performers, the strength of our youth development program (which includes our CITs and interns) is also on full display. You never know which cast members today will be working at MYT in in the future to inspire the next generation!

At MYT we make a lot of great shows, but we are most proud of the outsanding individuals that grow from our program! Congrats to our 2023 CITs, interns, and staff. We ❤️ you! ~Carolyn, Joe, Lindsay, and Nich

Director's Note

I am so thrilled to present to you this production of Winnie the Pooh KIDS. We all know and love the story of Winnie the Pooh as it is a staple in many of our childhoods. As the kids dove into this show, they got to explore topics such as friendship, loyalty, and creative thinking as they started to develop a relationship with their character.

To the cast of Winnie the Pooh KIDS: I am so proud of all the hard work you have put into this show the past two weeks. Your creativity, commitment, and love for theater never fail to amaze me. Working with all of you has been such a gift! Along with all the time we spent rehearsing, I was also fortunate enough to play with you in the pool, sit and make crafts together, play a bunch of fun games as a group, and get to know each and every one of you. You should be so proud of yourselves.

To the crew of Winnie the Pooh KIDS: Thank you for all the hard work and effort you have put into making this show as amazing as it is. Thank you to my wonderful assistant director with whom I share this credit. Thank you to our amazing stage manager for all you've done to make this show a success. To the rest of the staff, CIT’s, and the incredible Jr. Workshop - this show could not have been possible without you. You are a big reason why we are able to put on such a great show in such a short amount of time.

To the MTC families: Thank you for trusting us with your wonderful and talented kiddos. You are the reason this program is the way it is! So without further ado, I would like to transport you into the 100 Acre Wood and back to your childhood for some nostalgic fun!

Enjoy the show, Jalina Secchiaroli
