Disclaimer - The following contains a lot of awards, info and juicy updates you’re not going to want to miss. So buckle in… this is your very own insight into the THRYVE HQ.

The last 3 months have been an exciting whirlwind at THRYVE. We’ve worked from home, expanded our team, enjoyed team days out, received awards and PR exposure and now we’re even looking for a bigger office space, and of course we’ve been enjoying our 4 day work week (we did it before it was cool).

Our CEO John Lennon has recently taken on a new role of being a dad, which we've all been very excited about. With this, our associate director Sonny has stepped up to the mark to make sure that THRYVE is running as efficiently as possible.

I'm sure you'll all stand with me in sending our congratulations on to both John and his partner.

4-DAY WEEK WORK CULTURE

The 4-day working week culture has been plastered everywhere and people are out with pitch forks to make sure that this trial goes well. But at THRYVE we’ve been working 4 days for over 6 months now and it’s safe to say the impact has been huge. The team have been so dedicated, our productivity has skyrocketed 🚀 and positivity seeps through the office every Monday morning.

We had push backs and panic from a few of the team about 'How can we fit 5 days into 4' but this is where your time management comes into play. We make sure we're prioritising the important tasks and it's been working seamlessly. Could a 4 day working week be the future for all of us? Here’s an update from Brandon and what he gets up to on his Friday's off.

January was a huge and very busy month for us. We had our very own AGM Awards and some of the team attended the RDLC Awards.

The RDLC awards are always one to remember (or not, if you enjoy too much of the free bar). The team not only looked the part but we successfully brought home 3 (R)Oscars and an Unsung heroes medal.

Our AGM awards morning was full of inspiration. When you hear from the team and what they’ve been through to be successful, it really puts a spark within you to want the same for yourself. I have to say we have a modest team and having the chance to reward people for their successes over the previous year is a real opportunity to fill up the life bank. The reactions really do last a lifetime.

We have award winners for going that extra mile or giving the best energy, being a dark horse… the list goes on!

This was also my first opportunity to see some of the team being flown out to Cancun for a week. I feel like you always hear these things promised when joining a company and you’re always on the edge to see if it’s going to happen BUT not at THRYVE. They’re off for quesadillas and I’m sure plenty of margaritas.

What else have we been up too...

The team have been lucky enough to have Trevor Pinder in for a couple of training days over January & February, the energy that these sessions bring is HUGE. The team are so invested in being the best of the best and who better to learn from than Trevor Pinder himself.

Throughout January, THRYVE was officially stamped with a 'Great place to work' certificate. If you don't know what this means, then let me tell you.

The team have had their say (all anonymous), about what it's like to work here. 100% of our employees mentioned that when they joined the team, they were made to feel welcome. What great feedback is that, hey?

We know that recruitment companies get their fair share of negative light, we told you that THRYVE aren't your typical recruitment company. Now you know we weren't just saying it...

February has been jam-packed. We had the lovely Michelle Flynn AKA the mind guru come into our office. If you don't know about Michelle then you are missing out. We took a few hours out of our afternoon to dig deep into what we want to achieve and the mindset behind doing so. A great take away for me was 'If you don't like restarting, then why stop in the first place?' and my favourite quote of the day was “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says I'm possible” Audrey Hepburn.

The end of the month was nicely rounded off with a hugely competitive game of E-Karting. The confidence oozing off the team was heavy but leaving... not so much. Some of the team absolutely thought they we were going to be Formula 1 level but I say leave that to Hamilton. Our winner of the day was Ben, huge congrats to you 👏.

It's safe to say, trying to get a large group of people to have their eyes open for a photo is difficult!

THRYVE x ECOSIA

Ecosia are planting trees around the world, 'Trees mean a happy environment, healthy people, and a strong economy.'

Through our solutions, you get the chance to be involved. Don't worry, we won't make you do any digging! Depending on which solution you choose depends on how many trees are planted. Pretty cool right?

Prepare to be even more impressed... Here's how many trees our partners helped us plant over the last 3 months.

We have also celebrated World Forest Day within the office, in honour of our THRYVE WALD product and also to highlight the importance of nature.

Reminder: If you haven't managed to get outside for some air today. Make sure you block out 10/15 minutes - Even just 15 minutes can help to improve your rest heart pressure.

Every month, the leadership team come together and discuss who our MVP has been throughout the month. This is measured on performance, overall energy in the office and just genuinely putting in their all for the month (we know it's never an easy choice).

GOALS FOR THE NEXT QUARTER

At THRYVE we're huge on Goals. I personally like to write down short and long term goals, you then have the opportunity for small and large wins throughout the year.

Here's what our leadership team have planned for the next quarter...

Khalifa; In Q1 Baum was our most popular growth solutions, with 20+ companies onboard. In Q2 we’re aiming to onboard our existing partners with Wald (our most cost effective solution).

Eavie; 1 thing we’ll be putting a real focus on is reducing our carbon footprint as a company. After such a successful Q1, we will be continuing to grow our team and investing in personal development!

Faisal; Freelance team's target is to place 100 freelancers across Germany and grow 100 trees.

Sonny; In Q1 we helped over 30 companies across Germany expand their tech teams & planted thousands of tree’s in the process. For Q2 we are looking to grow this number to above 50.

Jael; Following our Brand refresh in Q1, by the end of Q2 we aim to have our website improved, with better functionality and fully reflecting the changes we've made to our brand.
