Pam Goerlich-Findley Product Manager

Pam is passionate about insurance and helping others grow in the industry. As a Senior Product Manager at RLI, she supports several Excess and Surplus products. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening, and scrapbooking.

Pam currently serves as President of the Central Illinois CPCU Society and for Vice President of Education for RLI Toastmasters. The chapter is proud of Pam as she was selected as one of Rise Professionals 35 Under 35 Risk and Insurance All-Stars for 2023.

Pam holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Bradley University. She also has earned the CPCU, AINS, and AUM designations.

Most importantly: William is happily married, a proud father of three children, and loves serving with his church. William coaches his kids’ sports teams and is an avid hunter and fly fisherman. He lives every day with great joy!

William Bortles, ACTAR Senior Accident Reconstructionist

William Bortles joined J.S. Held in July of 2021 as part of J.S. Held's acquisition of Kineticorp. William (Will) Bortles has been reconstructing accidents since 2005. Mr. Bortles has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In addition to Mr. Bortles’ education as an engineer, he has received extensive training specific to the field of accident reconstruction. Mr. Bortles is fully accredited as an accident reconstructionist by the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR). Will is a member of the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS) and the Southwestern Association of Technical Accident Investigators (SATAI).

Matthew Campen

RLI is a specialty insurer serving niche Property, Casualty and Surety markets. The company provides deep underwriting expertise and superior service to commercial and personal lines customers nationwide. Since joining RLI in 2013, Matt has served in various roles within the Claim organization and is currently responsible for the overseeing of Property, Marine and Surety claims countrywide.

Matt is a graduate of Illinois State University in Normal and received his Master’s Degree from DePaul University-Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in Chicago, Illinois. He holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Claims, Associate in General Insurance, and Associate in Surplus Lines professional designations.

Heather Blevins, Senior Project Coordinator

Heather is a passionate, creative, problem-solving maverick who loves to prove that her wild ideas work. She loves sunsets, getting lost when she travels, and the power jolt she gets from capturing the stories that dance in her head. She currently serves as Vice President of Marketing for SITE, Vice-Chair of the Publications Committee for the CPCU Society, and Immediate Past President of her local CPCU Chapter. Heather has a M.Ed. from the University of Illinois, and has earned the CPCU, AIC, AIS, AINS, SCLA and ITP designations. Her day job in insurance is with State Farm serving as Senior Project Coordinator in Operational Strategy and Modernization within P&C Underwriting. She also adjuncts at the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University.

Brett Clausen joined Farm Bureau Financial Services in 1990 and has held various leadership positions in claims, operations, and underwriting. In his present capacity, Clausen coordinates the organization’s government relations function, leads the organization’s process improvement efforts, and provides expertise to the leadership development area.

Clausen is a graduate of University of Nebraska and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Master’s degree in Insurance Management through Boston University. Clausen is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, serves as President and Chair of the global CPCU Society, chairs the NAMIC State Affairs Committee, and serves on several advisory committees for insurance related companies and organizations.

Dominic Lee is an actuary, speaker, and content creator with ten years of Property and Casualty experience in North America. Known in the actuarial community as the Maverick Actuary, he is an influential voice in the modern actuarial world promoting a bold, unconventional, and engaging approach to actuarial science. Dominic was born in Kingston, Jamaica which he represented internationally in swimming for eight years. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Having held numerous leadership roles in personal, commercial, and specialty insurance, he keenly understands the versatility of the actuarial skillset. Dominic believes that a broader view of risk will launch the actuarial profession into the future, cementing its reputation as an influential force in society. He believes that a modernized skillset, a visible brand, and diversity of thought will facilitate this transformation.

Dominic’s personal mission is to maximize the impact and value of quant professionals on a global scale. He enjoys soccer, reading, and producing vlog content on social media.
