Who is David San Clair?
David San Clair (David O'Brien) is an Irish Louth/Dublin based Singer/Songwriter. His writing style is a unique blend of Folk, Rock, Jazz, Bluegrass and Indie. The 24 year old musician attended music institute BIMM Dublin. This is where he met his trusted band mates, Cam Teehan, Josh Hackett, Dara Abdurahman and Louis Younge.
David has performed in numerous popular venues across the Irish capital, including shows in Whelan's, The Grand Social, Sin É and The Button Factory. Most recently, David performed to a sold out crowd in Whelans Upstairs for his first show of 2023 on January 21st.
Fans of the Irish artist were heard belting out lyrics to popular songs, 'Better Than Myself', This is How They Fought Me' and 'Tell Me Something'. That moment was a very promising sign for David's career, showing the keen support from audience members.
David has also opened up for numerous Irish artists like Smythy, Junior Brother, Modernlove and David Keenan.
It's not only in person when David delivers his strong vocals and songwriting, but on radio and media outlets as well, where his talents are descriptively noticed. Louth and Meath Radio station (LMFM) radio host Claire Regan brought David onto her show in 2019 and 2023, to discuss his route to music, and what inspires him to pursue this life-path. David's 'This is How They Fought Me' also got recognition off mainstream Dublin radio station Radio Nova.
Indie music magazine and website 'Indie Boulevard', reviewed David's debut E.P release from August 2022, titled 'Anything Goes', where an in-detail analyses of the record was published.
