A right Royal Party…

We had such a fun day on Friday celebrating the King’s coronation. The children came dressed in patriotic colours of red, white and blue and even some in their princess and prince clothes. We had lots of fun activities around the unit; tea party, water play, crown making, crafts and lots of other amazing things. We even had time for sandwiches, cake and scones… a real British Afternoon Tea.

We have started our whole school art project this week so there has been a great deal of fun and mess in our creative area, all inspired by Eric Carle.

Outside we have been having a stack on fun with the babies. We turned an area of outside into a baby clinic and enjoyed weighing, measuring and caring for the babies.

Some of the class enjoyed a gorgeous day out at forest school, the sun was shining and fun was had by all.

Those that didn’t go to forest school enjoyed a fun PE lesson with Mr Walker where they went on an adventure to the jungle and had to fight off tigers, crocodiles and even pirates …

We had fun making some gardens for our impending visit from the king. We planted real seeds and flowers. We can’t wait for them to grow and show them to the king.

We also learnt how seeds travel and how to make them grow…

Can you believe we also had some amazing maths lessons, a friendship lesson and lots of play on top of everything else? Neither can we, and that was in 4 days too! Good job it’s a 3 day weekend, we’re exhausted ….
