The portal of exit for chickenpox is through actions of the human body such a s sneezing. Another portal of exit is through the mouth.
For means of transmission, chickenpox is an airborn disease. This is why it can be contracted through something such as a sneeze or a cough. If it is in the air, their is possibility that it can be contracted. It can also be contracted through direct contact of the skin.
The portal of entry is the same as the portal of exit. This is through a newly infected mouth, nostril, opening in the body, etc. Also touching someone and skin to skin contact can be a portal of entry on to the skin.
The susceptible hosts are anybody who comes in contact with the diseas in the air and contracts it through the portals of entry. People are very susceptible. Also, being in an environment with a lot of people, you are at high risk of contracting Varicella (Chickenpox).
The best way to prevent Chickenpox is diminish or stop altogether the time spent with a host to the disease or break the chain of infection another way. There is eradication of the disease. There is a vaccine. The vaccine has about a 90% success rate in its users.
The symptoms of chickenpox include a loss of appetite, headache, a fever near 102 degrees Fahrenheit, malaise, and a very itchy rash on the surface of the skin. These symptoms can take up to 21 days to become apparent after infected.
To break the chain of infection,mint is efficient to really just stay away from other people. If others aren't in contact with you, they can't get the virus. Covering sneezes and coughs and not touching people is the way to go.
