our program

The ECU Academic English and Research Skills Program is a 15-week full-semester program that gives you:

  • Valuable classroom instruction on academic English.
  • Opportunities to audit graduate or undergraduate courses in your discipline.
  • Work on laboratory or field research supervised by ECU faculty.

ECU is close to both the Research Triangle region, a thriving technology hub, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the US. Washington DC is also nearby and offers a great weekend getaway.

  • 225 contact hours with ECU instructors
  • Equivalent to 15 US credit hours

Matched with US professor who will provide:

  • 10 hours per week of research related activities
