Chocolate peanut butter pie: delicious treat to serve at any occasion All Photos taken by Alexandra glickman '23

With many events and holidays coming up, desserts are the best way to satisfy a crowd. If you are going for something a little more adventurous than your basic apple pie, this easy chocolate peanut butter pie is a great alternative. It's a super simple recipe and can be made ahead of time.

Ingredients: one cup of peanut butter, eight ounces of cream cheese, eight ounces of Cool Whip, one half cup of sugar and oreo pie crust. All of these ingredients can be purchased at Stop and Shop.

First, measure out one cup of your favorite peanut butter (I used Peter Pan's) into a large mixing bowl.

Next, add one half cup of granulated sugar to the mixing bowl.

Then add eight ounces of softened cream cheese, I recommend to take this out of the fridge at least an hour before making it in order to mix well with the other ingredients.

Then add eight ounces of Cool Whip to the bowl.

First, mix filling together using a utensil, or electric mixer -it is much easier with an electric mixer- on low for approximately two minutes to soften up ingredients.

Then, on a higher speed mix until ingredients are fully incorporated, because this is a sticky filling using a rubber spatula to scrape down the sides, this will help everything mix evenly.

Once the ingredients are mixed evenly, distribute the peanut butter filling into the pie crust with the help of an offset spatula. This will help make sure that the filling is evenly spread across the crust.

Once finished, cover in seran wrap and store in the freezer and put in the refrigerator two hours before serving. This pie can last up to a week in the fridge and two feeks in the freezer.

This delicious recipe is a go-to for the upcoming holiday season. It is incredibly easy to make and has a fairly long fridge or freezer life. A pie that is guaranteed to be enjoyed among your family.
