MRs. katelyn beurer named principal of woodcrest elementary school

As Mr. Jeffrey Pennex retires at of the end of the 2022-23 school year, Mrs. Katelyn Beurer will become Principal at Woodcrest Elementary School, effective July 1, 2023.

Mrs. Beurer is coming to Midland Public Schools from Marshall Public Schools, where she was the Dean of Students at Marshall Middle School in her most recent position. Her 16+ years of experience in public education also include elementary classroom teaching in Marshall Public Schools as well as Grass Lake Community Schools, and Assistant Principal grades K-8 for Concord Community Schools.

Mrs. Beurer hopes to lead a school that fosters a collaborative initiative that focuses on student success following in the footsteps of Mr. Pennex. The Beurer family, Katelyn and her husband, Dustin, along with their two children, J.T. and John, are relocating to Midland. She would like to share this message with the Woodcrest and MPS communities:
