A story that takes places in Briarwood, New Jersey at Michael's 4th of July party. The two main characters are Jenna and Michael and some other characters are Amy and Joe.
Michael got his grandfathers old Winchester rifle for his 16th birthday.Michael shoots his new gun and kills Charlie Ward Jenna's father. When Michael hears about Charlie's death, he buries his gun under a wood pile. Charlie and Jenna both become friends with Amy.
The police narrowed down a four block radius of where the gun was shot and go door to door asking who owns guns. Michael claims he let Joe borrow his gun and that it was stolen from Joes car. Michael breaks up with his girlfriend Darcy. The police search Michael's house and find a bullet from the Winchester rifle that Michael shot.
The police take Joe in to ask him questions on who shot the bullet. Michael is not sure if he should come out and tell the police.
Micheal decided that he should tell the police. Jenna realized who actually killed her father. Jenna goes to the ghost tree to see her father and Michael ends up going to the ghost tree to be healed. Jenna is asleep when Michael shows up.
