May 13th 2022
This half term seems to be flying by! Longer days and lighter nights are definitely helping us to enjoy the month of May.
Pupils are enjoying playing on the field altogether, for the first time in such a long time. Celebration assemblies are once again the highlight, where we celebrate those who have 'shone' during the week. It is so lovely to share those experiences as a school family once again.
As we continue our learning, and enjoy our experiences, let us hope that the we continue to be the best we can be.
Love and Prayers,
Mrs Davies

Trust
'Trust yourself, you know more than you think.'
Benjamin Spock
A big thank you to Rev Angela who is joining us weekly until the end of term for Monday worship. This week we learnt about the story of Jesus calming the storm when he was out at sea with his disciples.
We learnt how to trust in God at times of trouble and how he is there to protect us.
We look forward to learning more about the value of trust over the coming weeks.
Welsh Phrase of the week Patrwm yr Wythnos
Our Criw Cymraeg are trying hard to improve the amount of Welsh being spoken at school. This week's phrase of the week are:
FP: Tacluswch - tidy up
KS2: Mae hi'n amser tacluso.
Try using these phrases at home with your child.
Keep up to date with the latest Patrwm yr wythnos on our website:

Our rugby superstars competed in the Urdd Rugby Tournament yesterday at Newbridge Fields, Bridgend.
They all played to the best of their ability and were amazing representatives of the school. Well done all!
Huge thank you to Mr Morris, Mrs Jones & Tom Habberfield, from Apollo, who coached our team and looked after us through the day.
Sharing Afternoons
We are aware that school has been a 'closed door' for quite some time. Both staff, and pupils, are really keen to start sharing the wonderful work that has been happening during the past year.
We have planned on having Sharing Afternoons during the last part of the term. There are still elements of the afternoon that will need to be finalised but we are aware that those wishing to attend will possibly need to book time off work.
Dates for these are:
Monday 4th July - Reception
Tuesday 5th July - Years 1 & 2
Wednesday 6th July - Years 3 & 4
Thursday 7th July - Years 5 & 6
Friday 8th July - Nursery am (before sports day)
Friday 8th July - Nursery pm (before sports day)
In order to ease congestion, there will be three slots across the afternoon for parents to attend. Timings for these can be booked via the links below.
Nursery - no booking required here. Timings will be confirmed.
