Coronation Medal

Every child in Forden village of primary school age has been gifted a Coronation medal as a keepsake by Forden with Leighton & Trelystan Community Council to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III on 6th May 2023.

Royal Tea Party

Children in dosbarth Bedwen had a fabulous time at their Royal Tea Party. Follow the link to see their preparations and celebrations.

Parent Governor Vacancy

One nomination was received for the position of Parent Governor, therefore a ballot is not needed. Mrs Sadie Ingram is duly elected as Parent Governor.

Parent Forum

Thank you to all parents who responded to the questionnaire about setting up a Parent Forum.

The first meeting will be held in the Community Centre meeting room on Tuesday 9th May from 2:45-3:15pm. The agenda for this first meeting will be school reports (in response to the new guidance to schools), residential trip next year and any matters raised by attendees. All parents/carers are welcome.

Parking outside school

Could parents please refrain from parking on the zig-zag lines outside school at pick up time. This is often the only passing place for vehicles using the road.

Yellow zig-zag lines outside schools indicate the length of road where stopping or waiting is strictly prohibited. The Highway Code states that you should keep these areas clear of stationary vehicles, even if picking up or setting down children.

Redridge

Pupils in Collen and Ysgawen are really looking forward to their trip to Redridge Outdoor Activity Centre next Thursday. The bus will leave school at 8:50am promptly and return at 4:00pm. Pupils need a packed lunch, drinks, snacks, coat, sunhat/cap. They need to come to school dressed ready for the trip. Afterschool club will still be running until 5pm for any pupils who need to attend.
