Eight Below literary essay

The film i'm about to talk is "Eight below". This film is directed by Frank Marshall. This is a adventurous film for viewers and it also represents that a promise should be fulfilled. This film shows how the 8 dogs survived the furious Antarctica storm for 175 days being on their own.

In this literary essay, i'll be discussing

  • An important event and explain why it was important in the film
  • An important character and the themes you understood from him/her?
  • An important theme and explain how it helped you understand a character.

The most consequential event in the film is when the canines's were on their own to fend themselves, if this event wasn't taken then the film would have been useless. The evidence can be when the canines went into the Russian base to have some pabulum but they instead messed up the floor with loads of pabulum. Days on their own: 175 days. The days when they were upon themselves to survive the climate of Antarctica. The evidence fortifies the thesis because when the NSF team arrived in Antarctica to preserve the canines the Russian base was opened and was all grimy. It withal it can be when all the canines had eluded leaving old jack alone.

This was the main event in the film and showed a lot of feelings towards the dogs.

The main characters I think is Jerry Shepard and Maya ( the dog leader) and the other dogs. The proof to this thesis is that if Jerry Shepard hadn't been the important character then the film would have been not understandably and it would be like no worth watching it. Maya being the dog leader interests the viewers to continue watching. The evidence keeps up with the thesis really perfectly because Paul walker had accomplished a huge job of expressing out his feeling about the dogs. Maya was important because without her Jerry would had to face every upcoming problem and not being able to take help of the other huskies. Maya had been specially trained and had a better grasping power than the other dogs so she had been chosen to be the leader.

I learned that no matter what, don't give in your life and accomplish what you have to.

The very important theme that I saw was survivor, adventure and friendship. The verification of the theme is when Maya got bitten by a leopard seal and then in a sudden Max and his buddies were fighting against the seal and this shows respect and friendship between each other and it also can be when Max came to give some food to Maya, Maya straight away grabbed the food by her jaws and dropped it down at Max's feet for saving her life from the seal. My confirmation supports the thesis because when Jerry and his NSF team came to save the dogs Maya had a left leg broken. My evidence supports the thesis because the dogs were still alive when the team arrived to save them (except old jack). The dogs survived for 175 days.

I learned that people shouldn't be cruel to others because the opposite person can turn out to be a really polite person and if anyone is cruel then don't take it to a bad point at all.

In this film we discussed about the important events, themes and characters and the importance of the characters. The thesis is important because if you don't understand it the right way then it's no point of watching it. It's all about learning something from the film (moral or a message).
