MONMOUTH STADIUM

The 25th season of Monmouth University Football will feature the brand new Monmouth Stadium, which started construction on November 1, 2016.

9.02.17 Monmouth vs Lafayette

Monmouth will face Lafayette to open not only the 2017 season but will also mark the first game at Monmouth Stadium. The Hawks and Leopards have only played once before, with Lafayette winning the 2002 season opener 30-29 on a last second 32 yard field goal.

9.09.17 Monmouth vs Lehigh

Week 2: Monmouth hosts Lehigh for the first time since 2013 but the Hawks have won two straight in the series, including last year's 23-21 win at Goodman Stadium

09.16.17 Monmouth at Albany

Monmouth renews its longtime rivalry with Albany at Bob Ford Field. The Hawks and Great Danes played for 15 consecutive years until 2012 when Albany joined the Colonial Athletic Association and Monmouth joined the Big South.

09.23.17 MONMOUTH AT HAMPTON

The Hawks face Hampton University for the first time in program history. Although Monmouth has never faced the Pirates before, the Hawks have played Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opponents five other times, owning a 4-1 record.

09.30.17 MONMOUTH AT BUCKNELL

Monmouth will face Bucknell for the first time at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. The Hawks were 2-0 last year against members of the Patriot League, with wins over Lehigh and Fordham.

10.07.17 Monmouth at Holy Cross

Monmouth and Holy Cross will begin another two-game series in Worcester in 2017. In the previous two meetings, the road team has been victorious.

10.21.17 Monmouth vs Liberty

MU opens its fourth season in the Big South by hosting the Liberty Flames. The last time Liberty visited Monmouth, the Hawks won in overtime on a 37 yard Matt White field goal.

10.28.17 MONMOUTH AT CHARLESTON SOUTHERN

Monmouth will face two-time defending Big South Champion Charleston Southern in the final game of October. Last year the Hawks rolled out a gray "alternate" jersey for the first time in program history against the Bucs.

11.04.17 MONMOUTH VS PRESBYTERIAN

Monmouth looks to remain perfect at home against the Blue Hose, as the home team has won all three matchups in the series. Games between the two teams have been defensive battles with a 5.0 average margin of victory.

11.11.17 Monmouth vs Gardner-Webb

Gardner-Webb returns to Monmouth for the first time since 2014 after the last two meetings took place in Boiling Springs. The last time the Runnin' Bulldogs played on Kessler Field, the Hawks forced three interceptions including two by then-junior Joe Johnson.

11.18.17 Monmouth at kennesaw State

Monmouth wraps the 2017 regular season with a trip to Atlanta to face Big South opponent Kennesaw State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

Although Monmouth could not secure an FBS opponent in 2017, the Hawks have schedule one for each of the following three years. MU will head to Eastern Michigan for the 2018 season opener, then to Western Michigan in 2019 and return to Central Michigan in 2020.
