Technology Integration A Newly-found quest

This past year was my first year with a SmartBoard. I mostly used it as a conduit for showing information to my students through videos, ebooks, and websites. I also loved sharing books and writing with my students using the document camera.
I bought myself an iPad this year, and it completely changed my teaching. I used it every day. I posted pictures of my students working on my class Facebook page. I took notes during writing and reading conferences using Evernote. I kept a journal of lesson plans and observations using Penzu. I was also able to connect it to my SmartBoard using Doceri so I could control what was on the SmartBoard from my iPad.
I found an amazing resource called Literably a few years ago, and it had reading assessments so much easier. My students could record themselves reading a leveled prompt and answer five comprehension questions, and the people at Literably would score it and send me back some information: wpm, accuracy, comprehension, and new reading level.
I am very excited to try out some new technology with my students this year!
