We worked on our hockey skills again in PE before thinking about the pros and cons of living in Britain as an Anglo-Saxon.
We thought some of the positive things were: the amount of available land for farming; the amount of natural resources, the relative safety of the place and the moderate climate.
We also thought about the jobs Anglo Saxon’s had. We discovered that children were classed as adults from the age of 10 and therefore had to join in with the work. The jobs Anglo Saxons did included being farmers, warriors and weavers.
