For Mental Health Week we looked at how to be an emotion detective and explain how we were feeling. There were lots of different types of happy and sad that we can feel and we though about what made us feel those different emotions. We now have a board in class where we can say which colour we are feeling. Iām glad to say that if people were feeling a bit blue at the beginning of the day the class helped them feel a lot more pink and yellow by the end of the day!
In Mantle we looked at the revolt of Boudica and the Iceni Tribe. We freeze framed the main parts of the story and thought of how both sides would act.
In Science we looked at the difference between volume and pitch. We designed an experiment to see if the volume of sound changes the further away you travel and tried to explain how using our knowledge of sound waves and particles.
We then used our knowledge of pitch to analyse a graph that showed what happens to the pitch when you changed the length of a string. It showed what we thought, the longer the string the lower the sound.
In computing we completed our drawings and created poster using lots of different skills to make our writing stand out and attract the reader. They were amazing!
In English we used the journey of Arthur to The Island of the Gods to write part of the Myth, using interesting connectives and adverbs at the beginning of our sentences. Well done to everyone for such brilliant writing!
