2022 Community Impact Report Here's how we helped our communities in the last year

2023 marks the inaugural year of our Community Impact Report. This report is a compilation of some of the highlights that we feel make a difference for the communities we serve.

Solarity Credit Union is proud to have provided support for Yakima and Kittitas Counties and the surrounding areas. Our support took many forms: from investments in loans for homes and real estate, to donations and sponsorships and volunteerism of our staff.

We invite you to take a look at this report and reflect on the impact that your local financial cooperative had on our communities. We look forward to continuing to serve the financial needs of our members and appreciate your business and support in return.

Happy 2023 from your friends at Solarity!

Thank you for voting us Best Credit Union... AGAIN!

Employees volunteer their time

In March 2022, more than a dozen Solarity employees donated 92 hours to help Yakima mother, Kristen Smith, build her future home for herself and her three, high-needs children. Because of the time needed to care for her children, Ms. Smith was struggling to donate the required hours to be eligible for the home.
“We are humbled to receive this recognition. We believe everyone should have a home of their own. To know that we played a small part in making a big difference in this mother’s life is special. It’s something our team will never forget.” -Mina Worthington, Solarity's president and CEO

Supporting community events

Fresh Hop Ale Festival

Solarity is a proud sponsor of a good time! At the Fresh Hop Ale Festival, our team enjoyed mingling with festival-goers and giving away free cash from our Solarity Cash Cube.

Downtown Yakima Mile

The annual summer run supports our community partner, YWCA Yakima.

Central Washington Fair

Solarity had its very own fair day. Our employees really enjoyed seeing our members and the community out and about.

Holiday Light Fest

We enjoyed being the Presenting Sponsor of the Holiday Light Fest - helping to spread the magic of the 2022 holiday season with the community.

Making our members' lives better one interaction at a time

We said "yes" when the big banks said "no"

Cliff now has a brand new, trusty car to get him to work. He was so pleased with how he was treated during his car loan experience, he decided to move all his money to Solarity.

Helping members realize their homeownership dreams

Meet Kenzie and Riley who started with a big bank for their first mortgage. The experience was so impersonal, they turned to Solarity on the advice of family members. It would be the last lender call they'd make.

Helping members achieve their financial goals

Meet Bobby, a Solarity member, who couldn't believe how easy it was to refinance his vehicle loan. It put money back in his budget each month.

More from our members

A better way to bank

We innovate to make it easier to accomplish your goals. Our branch transformation project did just that.

"Our team is committed to top-notch service, whether the member is coming into a branch, calling us or using our popular online and mobile banking platforms. Our goal is a seamless banking experience, every single time." -Mina Worthington, Solarity president and CEO

Banking with ease

In the Spring of 2022, our innovative, state-of-the-art branch redesign had its one year anniversary.

No lines. No need to wait.

Our team greets members at the door and consults with them. If it's a simple transaction, the member is in and out quickly using our self-service Smart ATMs (with our team available to guide them, if needed).

Consultative Experiences

If it's a more complex banking need, we link members up with an expert who can help them accomplish their financial goals.

Industry Recognition

Our branch redesign anniversary was featured in The Financial Brand with a journalist interviewing our CEO and President Mina Worthington.

"Worthington strongly believes a consultative approach is key to the future of community banking."

Thank you for helping make 2022 another successful year. We look forward to continuing to serve our members' financial needs in 2023.
