Baylis Court School Newsletter 3 February 2023

New House Crests

We are delighted to be able to share with you the beautiful new house crests, designed by students in years 9 and 10 supported by a previous member of staff, Miss Krishnakumar.

Our house names were chosen by the Baylis Court School community at the end of the 2021-22 academic year from a list of inspirational women suggested by students in all year groups. The house crests above were created to pay homage to each woman's strengths and to support the sense of pride felt by each member of the Baylis family.

Thank you!

A big thank you to all families who have supported their students' academic progess by attending our Consultation Evenings this term. It has been a pleasure being able to welcome you back in to the school, in person, to celebrate the successes of your child's hard work!

Well done to Hiteshi and Alexi who performed this week for the year 8 assembly.

They got the highest marks in the year for their dance assessment.

We are so proud of you!

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences.

Alongside on-the-job training, apprentices spend at least 20% of their working hours completing classroom-based learning with a college, university or training provider which leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
