Dear Hillendale Families,
Happy Mother's Day! It's hard to believe that there are only five weeks left in our school year. Thank you for your incredible generosity of spirit, time, energy & resources during our staff appreciation week last week. You created such a special and memorable week for our entire Hillendale team!
All Hillendale families are invited to our annual "Spring Open House" this Thursday (5/12) evening at HES from 6:30 - 8:00 PM. I encourage you to stop by our school to visit your child's classroom and spend some time with his/her teacher(s) and other Hillendale families. See you there!
In addition to our Open House, our week ahead includes several field trips, our annual Reading Olympics competition, our Spring Book Fair, a visit for our 5th graders to Patton Middle School, a countywide Special Olympics event, and a rare opportunity for Hillendale family members to come together this Friday evening for our "Party for the Playground" at The Gables at Chadds Ford.

Homeroom Parents
The PTO is starting to look for homeroom parents for 2022/23 School Year!!!! The Homeroom Parent(s) will be responsible to facilitate communication between parents and the teacher, parents and the Hillendale Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), and to support the teacher in needs that may arise throughout the school year. This facilitation can take many different forms and can vary from teacher to teacher and grade to grade per the needs of the classroom. The Homeroom Parent(s) needs to act as a positive resource and share classroom/school information and PTO/District events with all families in their assigned classroom. All homeroom parents must have their clearances on file with our school district. CLICK HERE TO VOLUNTEER ***Filling out this form does not guarantee the position. The PTO will review all volunteers and pick randomly to ensure every class is covered. This decision will not be decided until 9/12/22***

Party for The Playground on May 13th
This event will feature our silent auction which is live now! Hillendale staff, parents, and local businesses have come together to generously donated gifts and unique experiences for our Happy Hillendale community to enjoy.
