STUART SHARPLES RUNS 100k FOR WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

Last year, New Jersey's Stu Sharples ran a 5K while wearing a 20-pound weighted vest and raised over $2,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project, so for 2022 he wanted to up his game and commitment. Stu completed over 100K with the weighted vest during July, and he's currently raised nearly $5,500! Wearing the vest symbolizes the strength our warriors have been through when dedicating their lives to this country. Every step Stu takes and every dollar he raises helps empower wounded warriors to thrive in their next mission, whatever it may be. Steel Sports is very proud of Stu’s effort to raise awareness and funds to support service members who have dedicated themselves to our country and our freedom.

Bobby VALENTINE Town Halls CONTINUE

The unique opportunity for Steel Partners business units to experience Town Halls with the legendary MLB manager Bobby Valentine has been a huge success. Steel Sports is so grateful to Bobby for traveling the country to speak to employees about the Steel Partners purpose, our Kids First philosophy, the importance of our Core Values, and, of course, Tommy Lasorda's impact on all of us. Steel Sports also gets to engage employees on opportunities to take coaching courses and apply for sponsorships for their youth teams. Bobby recently visited OMG in Illinois, MTE in Wisconsin and KASCO in Missouri.

Staff Spotlights

Congratulations to July's Staff Star Kevin Gallaugher from California and Social Impact MVP Stuart Sharples from New Jersey! Kevin has stepped up in the South Bay region as Assistant Teams Director taking on additional responsibilities, he led his 05 Boys team to the championship game of the NPL Finals, and he enthusiastically made the cross country trek to fill in at the recent Steel Sports National Camp in Pennsylvania. KG has shown us all the meaning of Teamwork this month!

Stuart has raised over $5,500 for the Wounded Warrior Project and completed 100K with a weighted vest to raise awareness for veterans with traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and physical injuries so they can get the specific help they need, free of charge, through WWP. Thanks for your Commitment to this noble cause, Stu!
