OBSTICLES FACED: Ruby Bridges faced extreme racism and hate everyday. While walking to school she had to have body-guards around her. Ruby was the first African-American to go to an all-white school. Ruby Bridges is know for being the first black child to attend an all-white school. Rubys second year in school went more smooth than her first year but she still faced racism and one kid refused to be her friend because of the color of her skin.

SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS: Ruby made it easier for other African-Amercans to go to whites schools, get a better education, and help improve relations between blacks and whites. She was the first African-American to go to an all-white school. She inspired the 1996 painting be Norman Rockwell entitled " The Problem We All Live With ". Also the children's book " The Ruby Bridges Story " by Robert Coles. Rubys bravery inspired kids everywhere whites and blacks, she taught them that everyone should be treated equal no matter what color skin.

10) Currently Ruby speaks at conventions, and other important meetings.
I made the stamp like this because Ruby liked her education then I put her name on the two books because so that you know who it is then I made it in color.
