HEAD COACH JEFF POPPELL
Jeff Poppell was named the new head men's and women's swimming and diving coach at South Carolina on Friday, April 9, 2021. He's the ninth head coach all-time for the men's program and eighth for the women's team.
Poppell comes to the Gamecocks from the University of Florida, where he was the head women's swimming and diving coach from 2018-2021 and helped return the Gators to national prominence.
The Jacksonville, Fla. native, has been coaching for 27 seasons, including 13 seasons in the Southeastern Conference. He was the head women's swimming and diving coach at Arkansas from 2006-12 as well as an associate head coach of the combined men's and women's program at Florida from 2016-18 and the women's head coach from 2018-21.
Carolina Natatorium

Housed in the Sol Blatt P.E. Center on campus, the Carolina Natatorium serves as the home to South Carolina swimming and diving. Extending 50 meters in length and 25 yards in width, the pool meets all structural requirements for SEC and NCAA competition. One of the more convenient aspects of the pool is its ability to transform from an Olympic size pool to a recreational training facility.
Dodie Anderson Academic Enrichment Center

The Dodie Academic Enrichment Center, which opened in 2010 in the athletics village area of campus, is the primary home for our student-athletes to learn and eat. The $13 million dollar facility houses two large study lounges, three computer labs, 12 seminar rooms, 20 tutor rooms and 21 offices with a full-time staff of academic advisors.
Success in the classroom is a very important part of our program. Since 2015, we've had 51 CSCAA Scholar All-Americans on our men's and women's teams.
The Dodie also houses a 2,000 square foot kitchen with a cafeteria that seats 200 people. A full-time staff of chefs provides fresh food daily with expansive breakfast, lunch and dinner options for our student-athletes.

Located on campus adjacent to the Strom Thurmond Fitness Center, Darla Moore Business School, Colonial Life Arena and the Greek Village, 650 Lincoln is one of the nation's premiere college living experiences.
It features a variety of floor plans available with two or four bedroom options available. Cable and wi-fi are included in rent. It also features a resort-style pool with grilling stations, an on-site fitness center, multiple lounge and meeting areas and has access to several first floor retail and restaurant options.
