Dear Parents
Year 10 students give their thanks and appreciation for everyone’s support for the non-uniform day last week. Over 13,000thb was raised and the work with the local farmers to review their practices with pesticides will go ahead. We wish the students well with their innovative and inspirational project.
Events for Term 3
Term 3 is always particularly busy. To help you plan ahead, a summary of the main events of the term is included below.
Swimming Gala for Years 1 to 4
We were all very happy to be able to celebrate the children’s swimming prowess with parents at our swimming gala, last week.
It was a morning full of smiles and fun as the children demonstrated just how much they have progressed in their swimming.
We look forward to the swimming gala for Years 5 to Year 9 on Wednesday May 3rd. Parents are very welcome to attend. The PE room and balcony will be open for refreshments and there will also be seating on the basketball court.
Spanish links across the World for Year 12s
Year 12 Spanish students have been giving up their Sunday evenings to practise their Spanish by chatting to students in Prepa Udem in Monterrey, Mexico. They had to say a formal farewell to their friends last week but given the obvious warmth of the friendships formed, I am sure students will maintain friendships across the continents.
Model United Nations
It has been another hugely rewarding conference in Bangkok for our MUN delegates. At this conference it was immediately apparent how much more confident and composed our students had become. That theme continued with their work throughout the day: speeches were clear, smooth and articulate, questions were insightful and probing, responses were logical and thorough.
Across five committees, our students debated gender equality, nuclear disarmament, access to healthcare, climate challenges and the Syrian refugee crisis. These are all critical issues that world leaders are struggling to solve, so for Y8 and Y9 students to tackle the problems with such poise, was highly impressive.
Congratulations to all our students. A special mention is extended to Flo, who picked up an award for her work in the World Health Organisation as the delegate of Tanzania. Mr David
Student Ambassador Transition
Firstly, we would like to thank our graduating school ambassadors, Alma, Natalie and Kym for their efforts in building the student council and representing the student voice this year. The trio have done tremendous work establishing our new leadership structure within the student body and deserve great credit for their dedication to improving student life at HHIS.
Following a successful round of interviews, our new student ambassadorial team is ready to build on the work of our leaving Year 13 students. We welcome Leah (Lead Ambassador), Aim (Learning Ambassador), Mew (Wellbeing Ambassador), and Malou (Enrichment Ambassador) to their new roles and wish them the very best in shaping future opportunities at the school. Musicians of the Month
Congratulations to Ariella and Eileen for being selected as Musicians of the Month by Ms Neina. Ariella’s recent forays into Djembe drumming has been highly praised and Eileen has also gained great success with her drumming; recently playing with her band at the ‘Live Lunch’.

นักเรียนชั้น Y10 ขอขอบคุณทุกคนที่ช่วยสนับสนุนวันปลอดชุดนักเรียนเมื่อสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา ยอดเงินบริจาคมากกว่า 13,000 บาท ที่ได้รับและได้ทำงานร่วมกับเกษตรกรท้องถิ่น เพื่อทบทวนการปฏิบัติงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง เราขออวยพรนักเรียนให้ประสบความสำเร็จกับนวัตกรรมและแรงบันดาลใจของโครงการนี้
ภาคการศึกษาที่ 3 มีกิจกรรมค่อนข้างหนาแน่น และทางโรงเรียนต้องการช่วยให้ผู้ปกครองวางแผนได้ล่วงหน้า โดยมีตารางสรุปกิจกรรมต่างๆ ของภาคการศึกษานี้ตามข้อมูลด้านล่าง
การแข่งขันว่ายน้ำของนักเรียนชั้น Y1-4
เรามีความยินดีอย่างมากที่ได้เฉลิมฉลองการแข่งขันว่ายน้ำพร้อมกับผู้ปกครองในการแข่งขันว่ายน้ำของนักเรียนชั้น Y1-4 เมื่อสัปดาห์ที่ผ่านมา
โดยในเช้าวันนั้นเต็มไปด้วยรอยยิ้มและความสนุกสนานที่เด็กๆ ได้สาธิตการว่ายน้ำด้วยพัฒนาการที่ดีได้มากให้ผู้ปกครองชม
เราตั้งตารอคอยการแข่งขันว่ายน้ำของนักเรียนชั้น Y5-9 ในวันพุธที่ 3 พฤษภาคม 2566 นี้ ขอเรียนเชิญผู้ปกครองเข้าร่วมงาน ห้อง PE และระเบียงได้จัดเตรียมเครื่องดื่ม และผู้ปกครองสามารถนั่งชมการแข่งขันที่สนามบาสได้
ภาษาสเปนเชื่อมโยงไปทั่วโลกสำหรับนักเรียนชั้น Y12
นักเรียนชั้น Y12 ที่เรียนภาษาสเปนใช้เวลาวันอาทิตย์ตอนเย็น เพื่อฝึกฝนการพูดคุยกับนักเรียนที่ Prepa Udem in Monterrey ประเทศเม็กซิโก พวกเขาได้กล่าวคำอำลาอย่างเป็นทางการกับเพื่อนๆ ในสัปดาห์ที่แล้ว แต่ด้วยมิตรภาพอันอบอุ่น เรามั่นใจว่านักเรียนจะรักษามิตรภาพนั้นต่อไป
Model United Nations
เป็นการจัดประชุมครั้งใหญ่ในกรุงเทพมหานครสำหรับตัวแทนองค์การสหประชาชาติ โดยภายในการประชุมได้แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมั่นใจและมีความตั้งมั่นอย่างที่นักเรียนเคยเป็นมาก่อน หัวข้อการทำงานยังคงดำเนินต่อไปอย่างต่อเนื่องตลอดทั้งวัน การกล่าวสุนทรพจน์มีความชัดเจน ราบรื่น และมีความเชื่อมโยงกัน คำถามมีความลึกซึ้งและน่าค้นหา การตอบคำถามมีเหตุผลและมีความละเอียดถี่ถ้วน
จากคณะกรรมการทั้ง 5 คน นักเรียนได้อภิปรายเรื่องความเท่าเทียมกันทางด้านเพศ การลดอาวุธนิวเคลียร์ การเข้าถึงบริการด้านสุขภาพ ความท้าทายด้านสภาพอากาศ และวิกฤติผู้ลี้ภัยในประเทศซีเรีย สิ่งเหล่านี้ล้วนเป็นปัญหาสำคัญที่ผู้นำประเทศพยายามแก้ไขปัญหา ดังนั้น สำหรับนักเรียนชั้น Y8-9 ในการจัดการปัญหาดังกล่าว เป็นที่น่าประทับใจอย่างมาก
ขอแสดงความยินดีแก่นักเรียนของเราทุกคน โดยเฉพาะ Flo ที่ได้คำชมเชยและได้รับรางวัลของเธอสำหรับองค์การอนามัยโลก ซึ่งเป็นตัวแทนจากประเทศแทนซาเนีย Mr David กล่าว
การส่งมอบตำแหน่งตัวแทนนักเรียน
ก่อนอื่นเราขอขอบคุณตัวแทนนักเรียนที่กำลังจะเรียนจบ Alma, Natalie และ Kym สำหรับความพยายามในการจัดตั้งสภานักเรียน และเป็นตัวแทนเสียงของนักเรียนในปีนี้ โดยทั้งสามคนทำงานอย่างยอดเยี่ยมในการเป็นผู้นำโครงสร้างใหม่ภายในกลุ่มนักเรียน และได้รับผลตอบรับที่ยอดเยี่ยมสำหรับการพัฒนาและปรับปรุงคุณภาพชีวิตในโรงเรียนของเรา
จากผลการสัมภาษณ์ที่ประสบความสำเร็จ ทีมตัวแทนนักเรียนใหม่ได้มีความพร้อมในการรับงานต่อจากนักเรียนชั้น Y13 ที่กำลังจะจบการศึกษา เราขอต้อนรับ Leah (Lead Ambassador), Aim (Learning Ambassador), Mew (Wellbeing Ambassador) และ Malou (Enrichment Ambassador) สำหรับตำแหน่งใหม่ และเราขออวยพรให้พวกเขามีโอกาสในการทำผลงานที่ดีเยี่ยมในอนาคตในโรงเรียนของเรา Mr David กล่าว
นักดนตรีประจำเดือน
