Nero Tatiana Baker

Nero was an important part of Roman history. Today, we should learn about Nero because, we was similar to Hitler, due to show they both killed thousands of people.

One important reason why Nero is important to learn about is because of his childhood. When Nero was two, his mother was banished by Caligula to the Pantien Islands. His inheritance was seized when his father died a year later. Nero was then given an education by Lucius Annaeus Seneca.

Another reason why it's important to learn about Nero is because, he had liberal ideas. One of his ideas was to end the killing of gladiators and condemned criminals in public spectacles. He was upset when he was forced by law to have all four hundred slaves put to death.

The next reason why Nero is still important today is because of what he did during the "Great Fire of Rome". He was said to have played the fiddle while Rome, when he actually sang as Rome burned. He was also the one who controlled the fire, which lasted six days. He also wanted to have his "Golden Palace" built between Palatine and the Equaline hills, which had been destroyed by the fire.

The final reason why Nero is still important is because, he went to Greece
