ITA Assistant Coach of the Year Award

Jordan Szabo from Texas A&M University has been named the 2022 ITA Assistant Coach of the Year Award Winner.

Throughout his five-year tenure at Texas A&M, Jordan Szabo has made an indelible impact on the Aggie women's tennis program.

The Melbourne, Australia, native has helped guide the Maroon & White to their first double conference championship in program history in 2022, leading A&M to the SEC regular-season and tournament titles.

Under his direction, Texas A&M set a program-record 30 wins prior to the start of the NCAA Tournament and led the nation with a .968 win percentage after the regular season.

Szabo is 105-32 in his assistant coaching career in Aggieland and was named the ITA Texas Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019 in addition to his 2022 selection.

I am so happy for Coach Szabo to be recognized as the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year which comes as no surprise to me. Jordan has played an integral part to our team’s success and there is no one more deserving of this prestigious award.

His leadership both on and off the court has been crucial to building our program into a serious contender, and I could not be more proud of what he has accomplished.

Jordan is a great Aggie, leader and friend, and I’m thrilled that he will finally garner the recognition that he unquestionably deserves.
