Gators Graduate university of florida student-athletes pass test in latest ncaa graduation success rate figures

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- As one of the top public universities in the country and home to a nationally recognized athletic department, the University of Florida is considered a destination school by student-athletes from around the globe.

And once they arrive at UF, they get to work in their respective sports and in the classroom. In the latest NCAA Graduation Success Rate (GSR) numbers released Tuesday, four UF teams scored a perfect 100 and six others 88 or higher.

Overall, 83 percent of UF student-athletes among those enrolled in college from 2006 to 2009, the most recent sample group, graduated.

"Our Coaches and our staff are committed to putting our student-athletes in a position to be successful long after their athletic careers are over and these graduation success rates reflect that commitment,'' Florida Athletic Director Scott Stricklin said.
