HOMECOMING AND FAMILY WEEKEND 2021

After a year's hiatus, we were delighted to welcome alumni and families back on campus to celebrate Homecoming and Family Weekend from October 15-17, 2021.

We explored the great outdoors, as members of our community participated in the annual Charity Hike at Blue Hills to benefit the EvvGirl Foundation. Organized by the Curry College Student Nurses Association, the event raised funds during the hike to support the Evan Book Award fund. Everyone sported their best pink outfits to honor the memory and legacy of Evan Bard '14.💜🎀

We welcomed furry friends, ate yummy treats, and listened to great beats at the annual autumn tradition of Fall Fest! Lisa Bello '04 performed live at Westhaver park, while families, alumni, and friends participated in lawn games and fall activities.

We welcomed four distinguished teams to the Curry College Athletic Hall of Fame for their outstanding accomplishments. Congratulations to the following teams who brought the Colonels to new heights, while representing Curry as upstanding, good citizens.

Men’s Football, 2007-2008

Men’s Hockey, 2003-2004

Women’s Basketball, 1989-1990

Women’s Soccer, 1987-1988

Tailgating was back in full force as we cheered on our Colonels and halftime performers from a packed Walter M. Katz '89 field, a sight we surely missed.

We connected with old friends and welcomed new ones, while celebrating 50 years since graduation for the Class of 1971.

We celebrated newly named spaces on campus with gratitude, including the new Diversity Center and the Landy Family Student Services Area.

The Diversity Center serves as a safe space for all undergraduate students at Curry, with a specific focus on underrepresented populations of undergraduate students to build an equitable community. The new space holds programs, services, and mentorship that encourage respectful conversations and civil discourse that support a diversity of thought and expression about controversial issues.

The Landy Family Student Services Area, established by the family of Samuel A. Landy, Esq. '82, is located in the Learning Commons and houses the Center for Global & Career Services, the Writing Center, and the Office of Disability Services. It’s a place where Vice President of Advancement and Alumni/Family Engagement Sally Murray says will “help students succeed in a one-stop-shop location.”

Our faculty led various breakout sessions throughout the day, while families and alumni gathered for PAL Open House.

We closed the weekend out with an Arts brunch that showcased our student talents, while former Colonels laced up for their annual alumni games.

Thank you to all those that made #CurryHomecoming21 one for the books. We're already looking forward to celebrating with our families, friends, and alumni next year!💜
