If you noticed from the very start of the Alpha, a lot of the contenders tend to give up rather than being eliminated.
The competition is a test of resilience, wit and the ability to read the minds of the creators of the Alpha!

For the semi-finals, let us put you under pressure with the Timed Start Race!
Races are organized either as "timed starts," or "mass start." In a timed start, teams start one after another in equal time intervals, competing against the clock rather than directly against one another. This simplifies some logistical considerations such as that of getting many teams of excited sleddogs to the starting line simultaneously.
In Race 4 Mass Start, you competed against each other to get to the top. This time, you will be racing against the clock!
You will be given 6 hrs to execute a complete entry!
To monitor your time, an assigned Race Official/Race Marshal will open the track on your preferred schedule.
Once your time is up, the Race Official/Race Marshal will automatically close your entry regardless if you have finished it or not.

- Take your time! Maximize the allotted 10 days for Race 7 and study your song!
- Plan your arrangement! You have 10 days to do so!
- Make sure you are free on the day of your recording without any distractions!
- Eat well and finish whatever you need to do prior to recording!
- Make sure you have a good internet connection on that day!
- Make sure that you are at a quiet environment/place when you record your entry!
- If you need to reschedule, please inform the Race Marshals ASAP!

They were requested to submit a song of their choice! Their songs represent their PASSION and love for music! You will choose one song from the Judges’ list.

- Your song will be revealed as soon as you submit the form.
- A Race Official will open your track at The HuskieS hub.
- You will NOT be allowed to change your song choice once you submit the form.
- You can only submit ONCE but if you need to change your schedule, please inform the Race Officials immediately.

🐺RACE MECHANICS🐺
1. THEME: A Timed Entry.
- You will be requested to provide the Race Officials a track of your choice. Please send your track ASAP.
- You will be given 6 hours to complete your entry.
- The Race Official, Musher or Race Marshal will contact you 30 minutes prior to your schedule and will open your track of choice.
- Once your time is up, the Race Official/Race Marshal will close your entry regardless if you have finished it or not.
2. SONG/GENRE: Judge’s Song Choice.
- Embellishments such as spoken, rap and/or an extemporized ad-lib will be allowed but DO NOT alter the entire lyrics.
3. VERSION AND KEY: ANY version and key will be allowed EXCEPT A CAPELLA, PARODY, MEDLEY AND/OR MASH-UP.
- Revivals will be allowed.
- If your song has been released/revived by multiple artists, just choose one version.
- For example: Crazy For You by Cyndi Lauper revived by Sponge Cola ✔️
4. OPEN TRACK: The Race Officials will open your track at The Huskies hub on your scheduled recording.
- Uploading of your own track will NOT be allowed. We can upload the track for you BUT this will take time.
5. FORMAT: Audio format only. Video format will be disqualified.
6. SOUND EFFECTS: Any sound effects from Smule may be used EXCEPT Super Harmony.
- Additional sound effects and voice modifiers from the other Apps such as, but not limited to, Style Studio, GarageBand, Bandlab, Music Editor, etc will NOT be allowed.
- External audio mixers will NOT be allowed.
7. LAYERS:
- 1 Race Official + minimum of 15 joins and no maximum.
8. BACKGROUND VOCALS: Pre-recorded backing vocals will NOT be allowed.
9. ORIGINAL COMPOSITION, such as replacing an entire verse, chorus, bridge or whole lyrics, will NOT be allowed.
