I had a wonderful experience at Vive. This was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised from beginning to end. The staff is professional, friendly and welcoming. With a part on the right side, take a 2” section of hair right at the hairline and divide it into three pieces. Begin a French braid by crossing the back piece over the middle then the front piece over the middle. Next, cross the back piece over the middle and bring in a larger section of hair to create theFrench braid style. Cross the front piece over the middle, bringing in another larger section of hair. Continue braiding until the French braid reaches the left ear then finish braiding the hair into a regular braid. Tie off the braid with a clear elastic band. Next, gather the rest of the hair into a low ponytail, pulling the hair through a clear elastic band only once. When looping the hairband over the ponytail a second time, don’t pull the hair all the way to create a loop. Pull the loop up and pin it against the head. Wrap the hair sticking down around the bun and pin it around the elastic band. Pin down any loose pieces to create a messy bun. Pull a few strands loose around the face. Gently loosen the braid by pulling on the braided portion, not the pulled in strands. Finish with a few spritzes of hairspray and swipe on your favorite lipstick.

VIVE Beauty Salon knows, Ok, so you have been considering adding highlights to your hair but how much should you add? Here is where the terms "full" and partial come into play. PArtial highlights are usually placed around the face for a brightening or framing effect, while full gets you just that -- your full head highlighted. If your hair -- including the back-- is dark, you will need a full highlighting. If it hasn't been that long since your last highlighting service, or if your hair, especially the back, isn't that dark, just go with a partial. Still not sure where you land? A general recommendation is to do a partial at one visit, and a full on the next. It's a good rule of thumb and easier and better for the pocketbook to alternate. The main rule of thumb is to go to a talented hairdresser whom you trust, and have a frank discussion about which highlighting technique he/she feels is best for your hair type and desired result. At VIVE Beauty Salon, our experts have perfected this technique; so we know how to do it well. We also offer hair and nail care for woman as well as men.

Straight

Balayage (French word for sweep or to paint) It allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour - similar to what nature gives us as children - with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines. The principal idea being less is more when creating soft, natural looks. Balayage is applied on the surface and not saturated through the section until the very tips, otherwise you would have a streak of colour that isn’t vey soft at all. It can also be called a freehand technique because no foil or meche are used to create the highlights. It's low maintenance, looks more bespoke, more natural, and is a modern technique that’s much more flattering. Healthy hair is attractive hair and that’ll never go out of fashion. Balayage gives a gorgeous healthy finish that looks nature-enhanced, glossy and expensive. It can be natural or strong, whatever you want, it’s all about the application technique.

Coconut oil contains fatty acids which condition deeply. It also provides proteins, eliminates dandruff and helps with regrowth.

HOW TO USE

Pour 1 cup of hot water into a small bowl Place 2 tsp. of coconut oil into the bowl Massage oil onto your scalp and hair Comb hair so oil distributes evenly Let set for 30 minutes Shampoo oil out of hair

Avocados are filled with vitamin B, vitamin E and proteins. These are essential for protecting hair and providing shine.

DIY Avocado Deep Conditioning Mask

Avocado | Olive oil or Coconut Oil | Organic Raw Honey |Shower Cap

Slice the avocado in half, pit, the scoop out the inside flesh into mixing bowl Add 2 tbsp. of oilive or coconut oil Add 2 tbsp. of organic raw honey Mix together until smooth Apply to hair and place shower cap on Let sit for 60 mins Rinse completely
